Boat Prints

Edward Smith’s Fishing Boat Prints complement his well known range of fishing boat models. The prints show selected boats in detail. There are five vessels in the set, all of which, except for the steam drifter ‘Briar Rose’, have visited Buckie harbour in recent years. ‘Briar Rose’ was developed from reference found in local museums and heritage centres, but for the others drawings were made and photographs taken to record key information. From these accurate colour studies were drawn up and painted.

The studies are printed by four colour litho on good quality paper, and each print is signed and numbered. The studies are not to scale, but each hull is 40 cms in length so that they can be framed and shown together as a group.
